Coats and snow shovels will be put to good use this weekend
as a winter storm pounds the northern New England area and portions of Canada with
heavy wet snow as storm system carrying tropical moisture moves across that
region.
The combination of rain and snow will extend from northern
Maine to New Brunswick with anywhere from 3-6 inches, however, some areas can
expect to see up to 12. Moving behind the storm is a blast of colder air that
will wrap around the storm and force temperatures plummet into the 20s.
Those living or traveling to the Northeast should prepare as
the weather in that area is expected to be unsettled at least through the
middle of the following week when another blast of cold air will roll into the
nation as the polar vortex takes a dip further down south.
Enjoy your evening,
Jen Gonzalez
