Good Evening,
A cool day was had across a good portion of the United States from the Great Lakes to the Southeast and the Gulf Coast, some places saw temps running 10-20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Taking a look at Thursday, we note the high pressure shifts eastward and will be over the Great Lakes and towards evening push into the Northeast, this will set the stage for a cool evening in these places. While the stationary boundary sits over Southern Florida providing them with showers and thunderstorms, all storms should remain below severe levels. The monsoonal trough over the Southwest will be the focus of another round of showers and thunderstorms for the Southwest and extending into the Southern Plains.
Have a nice evening,
Meteorologist Joshua Kelly
