Cooler days are in store for the Northwest after days of
near record setting heat that brought plenty of sunshine and humidity. The week
is expected to end with temperatures up to 15 degrees above normal but as the
weekend begins temperatures will begin do drop as the sweltering heat moves
into the Plains.
Despite the relief in temperatures, the one thing that will
remain is the threat of wildfires that has been affecting that area for over a
week. Over a dozen wildfires have taken place over the region since the heat
wave began and as conditions remain dry over the next few days the threat will
remain.
