Extreme Weather Blog for Aug 24

Good Evening,

The tropics are waking up in  the Atlantic, as of 8PM CDT, we now have Tropical Depression 4L, the latest indications are for it to intensify into a Tropical Storm by the end of the weekend or early Monday, the tropical feature will continue on a west-northwest track and push up the Atlantic.  Secondly will be the HEAT that will dominate a good portion of the Southeast and Gulf Coast, many locations will see high temps in the 90-95F with heat index values over 110F.  The Northern Plains and Northern Rockies will see another day of heavy rainfall ahead of the low pressure system.

Enjoy your day!!!
