Extreme Weather Blog for Aug 6






Good Evening
Taking a look across the nation this evening, we have a few strong thunderstorms pushing across the Northern Plains, Tropical Storm Bertha continues to turn well away from land and will not threat the US, however over the in the Eastern Pacific, Hawaii is bracing for tropical weather.
 
August 6AM
A few lingering thunderstorms will continue through the early morning over the Northern Plains, main threat will be winds and heavy rainfall.
 
August 6PM
Thunderstorms will be isolated over parts of Florida and the Northern Gulf Coast associated with the afternoon seabreeze, while thunderstorms will be found over the Upper Mississippi River valley near a frontal boundary, outside of that no other extreme weather events expected.
