Extreme Weather for Oct 23, 2014

Good Evening,

Taking a look across the nation tonight and into your Thursday, the short term impacts will be in the Northeast United States and also in the Northwest United States as both areas are dealing with storm systems that are bringing heavy rainfall, gusty winds to the areas.

Tropical Depression 9L has developed today in the Southwest Gulf of Mexico and is forecasted to move eastward for the next couple of days and then after that things begin to become more uncertain with potential tracks after that. The big driving factors will be the high pressure center that is over the Ohio River valley, along with another storm system over the Pacific Northwest, these two features will help determine where the storm will go beyond day 3.

Have a nice evening,
Meteorologist Joshua Kelly
