The spookiest night of the year will be accompanied by cold
rain showers, blustery winds and even snow through some locations across the
Midwest and Northeast making for a cold trick or treating night.
Those who plan to take part on the door to door candy pick
up routine will have to bundle up as temperatures are expected to dip into the
20s and 30s from the Great Lakes into the Appalachians with the milder 40s and
50s paying a visit to those out in the northeast. Areas from Detroit into Pittsburgh will have a harder time collecting candy Halloween evening as the first
snowflakes of the season are forecast to move through those areas as the colder
air travels south with heavier amounts of snow falling in the higher elevation
areas.
Along with the costumes many have been eagerly waiting to
wear, raincoats and umbrellas will have to be the accessory of choice for those
willing to keep up the trick or treating tradition. Also, don’t forget to bring
along a flashlight or reflective item (especially children) to help stay safe
by increase visibility for motorist.
Be safe and Happy Halloween!
