After a few days filled with soggy weather, temperatures on
the thermometer will be heading south this weekend for the northern Plains and
Midwest as a blast of cold air will bring morning lows 30 to 50 degrees lower
than usual.
Those in the area had to bundle up on Saturday as it felt
more like a November day with blustery winds that brought unseasonably cold air
that lead to the first snowflakes of the season through Chicago. A mix between temperatures and gusty winds
will force temperatures to feel like the 20s from the northern Plains into the
lower Great Lakes and Midwest
.
As the second half of the weekend progresses, cooler air
will also be in store for those in the East Coast from northern Florida into
New York, albeit milder. Daytime high temperatures through these areas are not
expected to surpass the 60 degree mark with overnight lows tumbling into the
low 50s. Once the cold front clears, a couple of days with sunny and clear
skies along with drier air are to be seen through the East Coast, therefore
enjoy.
A safe and happy weekend!
