Temperatures through the Northeast will take a dip this
weekend as a blast of chilly air from Canada will make its way into the
northern section of the country bringing temperatures up to 10 degrees below
where they should be this time of the year.
Saturday will begin with a mix of sun and clouds along with
mild temperatures and isolated showers as a cold front swings through the area bringing
November like temperatures by the evening. Those in the area should also expect
to see gusty winds which are forecast to accompany the cooler air along with
a few snowflakes which may be seen for the first time since the winter season
ended earlier this year.
Temperatures on Sunday are expected to range from the 40s to
the 50s with feels like temperatures dipping into the 30s as a few factors such
as winds, cloud cover and temperatures merge with one another. The cooler
weather will remain through the beginning of the week before the return of
soggy weather as a storm system forms and moves along the northeastern coast.
Tropics:
Gonzalo remains a powerful category 3 with winds roaring at
115 mph as it moves NNE approaching the island of Bermuda where a hurricane
warning continues to be in effect. Dangerous storm surge and up to 6 inches of
rain are expected in Bermuda Friday evening into Saturday. By Saturday, Gonzalo
will begin to weaken as it takes aim at Newfoundland where it is expected to
make landfall as a weak category 1 or possibly a tropical storm.
Have a safe weekend!
