Good evening,
Seems as if Mother Nature has gotten her seasons confused as
it keeps looking more like winter than it does fall throughout most of the
nation. The past few days have brought frigid temperatures across the central
states and Midwest and by the end of the week, the winter storm that has been
moving across these areas will unleash its wrath throughout the eastern coast
with several inches of snow and temperatures that will plummet up to 30 degrees.
The cold temperatures, which are expected to last well into
next week, will be responsible for lake effect snow that will move through
parts of the Midwest as well as the first freeze of the season across many
locations in the south. Rounds of snowfall and dangerous travel conditions will
pay a visit from Cleveland into Erie before moving into portions of New York.
As we approach the second half of the weekend, another
winter storm will move into the area with a mix of rain and wet snow along with
more cold air, however, the conditions that may accompany this new system will
be dependent upon how fast and strong it moves through these areas.
The Pacific NW will also be in for their fair share of
winter weather as a storm system that has developed over the Pacific Ocean will
move into the area by the end of the work week. Not too far behind that system,
another one seems to be in development and may also lead to heavy snow in the
area before making its way into the Rockies.
Enjoy your evening,
Jen Gonzalez
