Extreme Weather for Sep 27, 2015

Good Evening,

Well we continue to see the coastal low off the East Coast bring copious amounts of rainfall to the Mid-Atlantic and parts of the Southeast. This low will continue to impact the region through Sunday.

We are also now focusing on an area of Low pressure beginning to develop over the Yucatan Penn, this feature needs to be watched for possible tropical development as it heads north into the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday. Right now latest indications are that it will bring heavy rainfall, high winds and some severe weather along with coastal flooding from New Orleans to Pensacola Florida. You can see more about this and our impact slide by visiting our Forecast Center.
