As we get ready to ring in the New Year!!!, here are a few weather headlines that will be with us. First, the winter weather pushing through Western Texas will make travel very difficult with some accumulating ice forecasted. The next big thing will be the potential heavy snow over New Mexico and Arizona in the higher elevations. The Arctic blast will also be with us as temps fall to below zero over the Plains and into the Great Lakes. Colder temps will also make there way down to the Gulf Coast as overnight lows fall to near freezing.
