Good afternoon,
Snow along with a wintry mix will be the main weather
factors the next couple of day extending from the northern portion of Texas
into the northeastern states as a storm system continues to make its way out of
the Lone Star state.
As this system tracks north, it will collide with another storm
that is currently pushing eastward across the Great Lakes. As these two systems
join forces, rain will be seen up and down the Ohio Valley and eastern coast of
the nation, however, the amount of precipitation will remain at a minimum but
enough of it is expected to fall causing slippery conditions that may force
travel delays throughout many roads and airports.
By Sunday, a wintry mix will affect areas from St. Louis to
Louisville with snow making its way through Chicago. As we go into Monday,
slightly heavier amounts of snow can be expected from Ft. Wayne, Indiana to
Buffalo with heavy lake-effect snow across western and upstate NY.
Unfortunately, as the week progresses, warmer conditions are
not expected in these areas and a possible second system may hammer the
Atlantic coast later in the week.
A safe weekend to all!
