Extreme Weather for April 22

Good evening,

After having experience several bouts of severe weather last week, soggy weather will once again rock the southern Plains starting mid week as rounds of showers and thunderstorms extend from portions of Texas into Oklahoma and the lower Mississippi Valley.

Thunderstorms accompanied by winds exceeding 60 mph along with large hail and flash flooding will erupt through the day Wednesday due to a disturbance that continues to move southeastward across the southern Plains and that promises to cause major headaches for anyone traveling by land and air.

Although beneficial to many drought stricken areas, cities from Oklahoma City into Shreveport, LA should anticipate very active and heavy rainfall that may threaten both lives and properties, therefore those located in any of these areas should take the necessary precautions to guard themselves and their homes.

After a quiet day, violent storms will once again rumble from Kansas into Texas as the work week comes to an end.

A safe week to all!
