Good Afternoon,

The top weather story today is the severe weather and flooding accuring in the southern plains. Flood watches are in effect from southern Missouri through southern Texas. Flash Flood warnings are also in effect for most of NE Oklahoma. Several more rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms will be possible across the region through Sunday. A tornado watch is also in effect for eastern Oklahoma, westhern Arkansas, and extreme southwest Missouri through 7PM. A few isolated tornados will be possible.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued until 11PM for NE New Mexico, NW Texas, and extreme OK panhandle. Damaging winds will be the main threat.

A cold front has brought cooler and windy conditions across the northern plains. Sustained winds are in the 15-20mph range with gusts up to 30mph. Temperatures behind the front are in the 50s. Low temperatures tonight will drop into the low to mid 30s in several areas. As a result, frost will be likely aross ND and MN. A frost advisory is in effect for the region.

Enjoy your Friday night!
