Taking a look across the country today, we have had everything from a flash flooding to extreme heat and severe thunderstorms.
The remnants of Tropical Storm Bill is currently located in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. This storm is bringing heavy rainfall and flooding to several locations in the midwest. The National Weather Service has issued numerous flood warnings across the region. Another 2-4 inches of rainfall is expected over the next couple of days across the midwest through the eastern seaboard.
The heat was on over the Southwest US with many places seeing temps above 100F. The heat is also on across the South and Southeast, where many locations are in the upper 90s and some locations are approching 100F with heat indexes just over 100F.
A storm system is bringing severe thunderstorms to the Northern Plains. The main risks will be damaging wind, large hail and isolated tornados.
